Elizabeth – As always, a great group of links. I’m glad there’s one about having a newsletter. The fact is, I’ve been wondering whether I ought to put a newsletter together, and if so, what would be in it and how I’d structure it. I need to read up on that.

Margot–You should! I was slow on this, too. I use MailChimp, which is free up to a certain level of subscribers (which I’m nowhere near). They have templates you can use and a button that can go on your webpage for signups. They also have easy unsubscribe and some analytics. You could have a section for mystery writers and one for your readers. I’d sign up. :)

Jemi–Most definitely! You *are* a writer.

Seems the last week might have been a press. Hope all is going swimmingly.

Always appreciate these links and the time they take.

    Thanks.

Jack–Thanks for saying so and thanks for coming by. :)

  6. Julie MusilFebruary 8, 2015

Thanks, Elizabeth! I loved the post about writing metaphors. That’s something I’m working on. Gillian Flynn, author of Gone Girl and Sharp Objects, writes amazing metaphors. I would’ve written them down, but I was too engrossed in her books!

    1. Elizabeth Spann CraigFebruary 9, 2015

Julie–Glad it was helpful! And good luck with the metaphors. It’s tricky for me, too.
