Happy 4th of July to my friends in the States (and Happy Monday to everyone else!) :)
Hope everyone has a great day. I think I’ve got some fireworks fatigue (late night last night watching them at the pictured event at the outdoor symphony and looks to be another late one tonight), so I think I’ll take a small breather today.
But I will link over to the Mystery Lovers’ Kitchen, which has had some great cookout/picnic food recently! (I’m Riley there and post every Wednesday if you enjoy quick and easy recipes.)
For barbecue-related recipes try:
Riley’s Dr. Pepper Barbecue Sauce
Avery’s Burgers and Blue
Cleo’s Fire-fighters Ribs
Avery’s Strawberry Shortcake (Gluten-free)
Today’s post has a nice round-up of recipes for cookouts.
And Cleo Coyle has an amazing cake for the 4th.
To the non-cooks—happy writing! Hope you’ll have lots of ideas percolating today. :)
Happy 4th of July, Elizabeth!
Have a wonderful Celebration and be safe!
Elizabeth – Happy Fourth of July to you, too! And thanks for those deeeelicious recipes!
Happy 4th!
Happy 4th. We’ve got a county-wide burn ban, so the only fireworks we’ll get will be on tv. I’m sure Hubster is disappointed. The one thing we left behind when we moved was being able to watch the Universal Studios fireworks from our driveway.

Enjoy your 4th July celebration.
I’ve been in USA on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve, but never had the chance to experience 4th July. Would been cool >:)

I plan on cooking leftover pizza in the oven. Simple! Happy Fourth, Elizabeth.
I loved Cleo’s cake – gorgeous! I’ll have to check out the rest :)
Happy 4th, Elizabeth! Have a wonderful day with your family. Cheers!
Happy 4th!
We had a trip down to Zingerman’s, a wonderful deli in Ann Arbor, and so we’re taking along some nice antipasto — slices of some amazing salami, fresh mozzarella, grape tomatoes and some Sesame Semolina bread. We figure that should be good snaking. (Friend is bringing cookies and such.)
Teresa–Thank you! Same to you. :)
Siv Maria–Thanks! We’ll try (hoses and buckets nearby!)
Margot–You’re so welcome!
Carol–To you, too!
Terry–Now *that* would have been cool!
Cold As Heaven–Thanks! It’s a very LOUD holiday. :)
Cozy in Texas–It’s nice, isn’t it? Especially after the sun goes down (not so hot.)
Alex–I had leftover pizza today, too! For breakfast… :)
Cleo–Thanks! Same to you. :)
