Finding Resources for Writers

Jami GoldWhen I first started out in earnest as a writer, there was no real organized community of writers online.

Fast forward over ten years later, and the online writing community has exploded with tons of advice and resources for writers—but how to organize the information to make it usable?

Hope you’ll pop over to Jami Gold’s blog for my post on the WKB. :)

This writing community is astounding in its supportiveness and generosity of spirit.

I’m heading over…and I couldn’t agree more – what a change! When I started there were some writers’ community sites but everyone was so over the top mushy and sensitive that it wasn’t my scene. This I like – a good combo of kindness and discipline.

I remember those days! I’m so glad we have the resources we have now. It has made the whole lonely writer thing obsolete.

Jan–Yes! They were SO mushy and sensitive. And it was only forums back then.

    Karen–I think so, too. :)

Heather–It’s really just so much better. And it was such a natural way for writers to interact–through writing on blogs, Facebook, etc. Sooo much better than in the 90s (which is when I wondered where all the writers were!)
