Tips for writing a sequel – number one, make sure the story is better than the first.

Alex–That’s the best #1 tip! I love reading series where book two is stronger than book one…makes me feel the author is hitting her stride.

  3. Margot KinbergNovember 23, 2014

Elizabeth – As ever, a very useful and fruitful session of Writing 101. I like it that there are several pieces on writer perseverance. I think that’s something that comes as a rude shock to beginning writers. You have to have tenacity and patience. Oh, and the use of color theory? Interesting!!

Margot–Some would even say ‘stubbornness.’ :) I know that was a good trait for me! And I enjoyed the color theory link, too.

Lee Lofland’s post “Autopsy: From Crime Scene to Toe Tag” was fantastic! Great info for crime writers. Thanks for finding this little gem.
