    Crazy rich Asians? I guess those appear in books more than movies.

      Alex–I was a little surprised by this, too! I’ve read Pearl Buck’s Good Earth (at least it starts *out* with wealthy Asians), but wasn’t familiar with this trope. Think I may need to increase the diversity of my reading. :(
