Promo Tactics and Balancing Life and Writing

by Elizabeth S. Craig, @elizabethscraigHBS

Hi everyone!   I’m over at James Moushon’s HBS Spotlight today talking about how free book promos have worked for me, how I’ve gotten book reviews, how audiobooks have affected my sales, handling a pen name, balancing life and writing…and a whole bunch of other stuff.    Hope you’ll pop by.

And Happy Halloween.   Hope everyone has a fun day.  My costume this year is a sleep-deprived mom.  Oh wait….think that’s my costume every year…. :)

Hilary–I’m hoping I can just be on handing-out-candy duty tonight…ha! A sheet would work, for sure. :)

Happy Halloween Elizabeth! Enjoyed and learned from your interview, and the key to an author’s life: “And…I don’t sleep much!”. You’ve earned your costume!

Michael–Thanks and same to you! That’s right…insomnia and that lovely mix of late nights and early mornings is vital to getting those books out. :)

My niece is dressed as Elsa. I think there are a good deal of “Elsa’s” out there this year. And how many of us can recite all the lyrics to “Let It Go.” She’s five. I went out and bought her some over priced cupcakes – flowers and spiders. These are such magical years. I don’t have any kids of my own, just one red Maine Coon Cat I call Maximillian, “Max” for short. Happy Halloween!

Richard–Elsa is supposed to be a *very* hot Halloween costume this year. :) Five has got to be the perfect year…you can communicate well enough not to have the frustration, but still retain all of the magic. And no homework yet (well, not as much, anyway…)
