Some South in Your Mouth

Red Beans and Rice I’m researching Memphis for my Memphis barbeque series and just returned from a 5 day visit. One of my Memphis discoveries? Red beans and rice (not the Creole version, but the Memphis one.) Please visit me today at Mystery Lovers’ Kitchen for a recipe that will make your taste buds sing.

Elizabeth, I’ll leave the same comment here I left there. Its so important to be able to visit and research places that will be in your next book. Me, I had to use the Internet and Google Earth to research the Boston area for my past book. So have fun at the same time your performing your due dilligence.

Had no idea Memphis had their own Red beans and rice version! Will have to this.

It’s 6pm and one look at that photo had my stomach growling for food! Since we usually don’t eat for another hour or so, I could be in the snacking before dinner danger zone when I visit Mystery Lover’s Kitchen, but I’m going anyway!
